Howdy! Welcome to my little corner of the internet!
Oh you want to know more about The Botanical Texan? Well Let's dive in...
Once upon a time, The Botanical Texan was actually called Cherry Blossom 56. I started my blog as a creative outlet in high school, in 2011, after my mom passed away. My blog gave me a voice. Honestly, sometimes I like to go on the way back machine just to see how far this blog has come. The Botanical Texan is a place for me to share my life, travel adventures, and tips & tricks all with a botanical twist! After all, I do work at a landscape architecture firm!
I graduated from Texas A&M University (Whoop!) in 2019 with a bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture and a minor in horticulture and urban planning. I work at an AMAZING firm in Denton, Texas, aka the best town in DFW. My hope is The Botanical Texan can be a fun place for me to share a lot more about my field! I’m very passionate about what I do. I’ve even advocated for policies that help the environment & communities to congress! Fun fact: I’ve rode the underground subway system on Capital Hill. Was on the same cart as Bernie Sanders & Mitt Romeny… Well, they got off when we got on, but I still claim it.
I would always love to hear from readers of the blog! If you’d ever like to reach out, feel free to email me at: thebotanicaltexan@gmail.com
