What do you call a pile of cats? A MEOWtain! What do you call a cute hair accessory? A DIY cat ear headband of course! I have been seeing these cat ear headbands in every store, I swear! I’m pretty sure Ariana Grande was the one who made them popular. However, as cute as they are, they are also like 15 dollars! I don’t know about y’all, but I’m not paying that much for a cat headband you can’t wear everywhere. So what do you do when you don’t want to spend a lot of money? You DIY a cat ear headband! This DIY is really easy and the materials you probably already own (and if you don’t and you have to buy these, then feel free to look at the rest of my blog because I use the products a lot in other DIYs)!
Materials Needed:
Headband
Ribbon
Flowers
Wire
To begin, hot glue the tip of the ribbon to the end of the headband. Then, carefully wrap the ribbon around the entire headband, being sure to cover it all. Next, take the wire and twist it into a triangle, allowing a bit to hang off. Make two of these. Now, you’re going to take that piece and twist it around the headband. This will secure your triangle on. I used a bit of hot glue to just ensure it stayed in place. Be sure to place these where you want the “ears” to be on the headband. Finally, hot glue your flowers onto the wire until the ear is completely covered.
Now you’ve got a purrfect DIY cat ear headband! Do you feel like Ariana? I sorta do!
