If y’all are DIYers, then chance are you are also fans of the Sorry Girls on youtube. I love their channel! In particular, their “$ vs $$$” series is so much fun! I am a guilty online window shopper when it comes to places like Urban Outfitters because while their items are too cute, their prices are also ridiculous. Sorry Urban. I’ve been decorating my apartment very “Jungle Boho” as I like to call it and found this adorable hanging basket on urban, but it was 30 dollars (and that doesn’t include tax or shipping)! I can buy 2 weeks worth of food for 30 dollars! Taking a note from the Sorry Girls, I went over to our local thrift/craft store, Scrap Denton, and found a hanging basket for 10 cents and some fake foliage for a dollar! I already had the paint. Overall, this project only cost me 1.10 cents! Take that Urban Outfitters! If you’d also like to make a boho hanging basket planter then check out below!
Materials:
Hanging Wall Basket
Fake Foliage
Paint
This is super simple. I just chose some paint colors that went with my apartment and painted a tribal pattern on the basket. Mine came out a little messy, but I think it gives it some nice character on my wall actually so I don’t mind. Next, take your fake foliage, and hot glue it into the basket just to make it secure in the basket. Then just have to hang it on the wall where you see fit! Ta-Da! You just saved 28 dollars! Hope you enjoyed this very simple DIY.
