If you’ve been reading my blog this past year, then you know I did a lot of international traveling in 2018. All those fantastic adventures in foreign countries made me realize that I’ve hardly done much traveling in my own country! Now that I have a big girl job, and give myself a strict budget, I have been saving a lot of money. I definitely want to be able to use some of that savings to see my home country while time is still on my side (ah the benifiets of being young). So, I thought I would hold myself accountable to actually making it to these destination by sharing my travel wish list for the USA!
Also, I thought it might be helpful if I include bucket list graphics that you (and I!) can download for each destination! Feel free to check out my pinterest, as well, to see more of my travel wish list destinations!
New York City
New York City has been on my travel wish list for such a long time! In particular, I want to be one of the crazy people that stand out in the cold for hours and watch the ball drop on NYE. I also love to watch, Katy Bellotte on youtube, and her videos make the city seem like a magical adventure!
Miami, Florida
Miami is actually a recent addition to my travel wish list. My friend convinced me to watch Jane the Virgin this past fall. The show happens to takes place in Miami. The show convinced, along with Pinterest, that this was a coastal city I wanted to visit. The art deco vibes really sold me on Miami! Thankfully, I think I have convinced one of my friends to take a weekend trip here in the spring!
Pacific Coast Highway
I think my desire to take a road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway stems from watching Zoey 101 on Nick. The highways major stops include several cities that are on my travel wish list: San Diego, Los Angles, San Fransico, and Seattle.
Salt Lake City, Utah
Salt Lake City is on my list of travel because I have always wanted to see Ballet West perform live. Plus, it just seems like a rather pretty and clean city.
Honolulu, Hawaii
Who in their right mind wouldn’t have Hawaii on there wish list?! It is a tropical paradise! Plus being the landscape architecture nerd that I am, there are landscape projects I want to see. There is a firm in Hawaii, that has done some amazing projects that I would love to check out!
Phoenix, Arizona
Finally, the reason Phoneix is on my list really has to do with its nature. Xeriscaping is very prevalent in this city, and I would love to see how designers address the design restrictions. I did warn y’all I’m a landscape architecture nerd.
